Jacques' Absent Friends Page is Up
Jacques's page on Absent Friends is now online. My apologies (Dave) for taking so long to get to it.
We invite anyone who'd like to share a tribute, reminiscence, image or anything else Jacques related to
. We'll see that it becomes part of the page.
Support Chaz Valenza's Safe-T Wind Effort
This in from Chaz:
We have a cool idea to help save the planet:
Farms of small wind turbines atop hundreds of thousands of commercial roofs.
So, we developed an innovative wind turbine that can go on any flat surface.
Now, we need your help.
We’re NOT asking for money through some crowd-sourcing scheme.
In fact, we’re well on our way to getting seed funding as a semi-finalist in this year’s Cleantech Open and as a finalist in a venture capital start-up accelerator.
But, we are now at a tipping point.
We need your support and public exposure to get to the next step: funding to build an advanced prototype of our new wind turbine.
Then, if you choose, you can vote for us with a $1 tax deductible, charitable donation.
If you like our idea, you can help us even more by spreading the word to those you know.
Thanks for your consideration. Please, feel free to get in touch with us if you have questions or suggestions.
Google Groups Email Chain
John, Gretchen and I created a Google Group List. It's not like Facebook. It's only an email list. Just pop the group address in the email and it goes to everyone. You can manage your own membership, change your email, etc.
So when you get the invite, please respond. You won't be on the list unless you do.
Hope this works for everyone. Seemed a simple solution, though open to others.
If you didn't get an invite
and I'll send you an invite.
Nick on Story Corps
For those of you who don't pour over every word of Adelphi University Magazine, there was a short mention of a spot Nick recorded for Story Corps, "an independent nonprofit whose mission is to provide Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, share, and preserve the stories of our lives."
